On August 14, 2025, the Regional Ministry of Environment, Housing, and Land Planning awarded a grant of €9,453,709.90 to the AG Retechfor group for the project "Technological and Territorial Network for Forest Monitoring and Environmental Disaster Reduction as Levers for the Development of the Forest Bioeconomy (Retechfor)."
This concession, published in the Official Gazette of Castile and León No. 156, seeks to promote the digitization of the forestry sector and mitigate the impacts of environmental disasters on the community.
Funded through the European Next Generation EU funds, it will be distributed for the 2025 and 2026 financial years, with 75% coming from the European Union (€7,090,282.42) and 25% from the Community of Castile and León (€2,363,427.48).
The AG Retechfor group submitted the only application to the call for proposals and obtained a score of 83 points, with 60 points in Block 1 and 23 in Block 2.
The Castile and León Forestry and Forest Industry Services and Promotion Center Foundation (CESEFOR) will coordinate the group. Among the beneficiary entities are:

Justification of expenses must be submitted before July 15, 2026, and the project must be completed by June 30, 2026. The Directorate General for Natural Heritage and Forestry Policy of the Regional Ministry of the Environment, Housing, and Land Planning will be responsible for coordinating the project in Castile and León. The beneficiary group must grant this Regional Ministry the right to use the technological solutions developed with the project, guaranteeing their maintenance for a minimum period of five years.
