On July 3, the Federation of Business Associations of Burgos (FAE Burgos) asked its members to apply for the grants offered by the Regional Government of Castile and León through the RetechFOR, an initiative within the RETECH (Regional Networks for Technological Specialization) of the Government of Spain, for which the following are eligible:
- Digital entrepreneurship projects and forestry startups in the region of Castile and León
- Digitization and the digital transformation of primary processing companies in the wood and other forest products sectors.
During the meeting, held via webinar, the technical team from RetechFOR (Castile and León Regional Government | SOMACYL), together with Cesefor, provided a detailed overview of the two aforementioned grant programs, which are focused on promoting digital transformation, the adoption of advanced technologies, and the strengthening of competitiveness and innovation in SMEs. The grants are aimed at companies and startups that want to invest in digital solutions, artificial intelligence, automation, and/or new technology-based business models.
The session saw significant participation from companies in Burgos, which were able to learn firsthand about the features of each call for proposals, eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application procedures, and to have their questions answered in real time.
This partnership with FAE Burgos reinforces RetechFOR’s commitment to making financing opportunities available to all groups within the sector, thereby promoting cohesion and technological development within the forestry business ecosystem.
