CASTILLA Y LEÓN FOREST DATA PORTAL

The problem it solves

It addresses the fragmentation of forestry information from multiple sources, the difficulties in accessing up-to-date data, and the limited capacity for analyzing and reusing that information. Furthermore, it replaces manual update processes and technologically obsolete tools with a modern, interoperable infrastructure.

“Turningforest data into useful knowledge to improve the sustainable management of the forests of Castile and León.”

What makes it innovative?

Data integration

It brings together forestry, environmental, and socioeconomic data from multiple sources on a single platform, making it easy to access and analyze from a single interface.

Accessible analysis

It enables advanced geospatial analysis, natural language semantic searches, and queries about the territory without requiring specialized knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS).

Intelligence and Participation

It features automated report generation powered by artificial intelligence, continuous updates from official sources, and tools that encourage user participation and collaboration.

Expected impact

To facilitate data-driven decision-making, improve forest planning, increase transparency and the reuse of public information, promote research, and support the sustainable management of forest resources.
