Digitization of Processes to Enhance the Utilization of Game in Castile and León
What is it and what is it used for?
Subastas de Caza is the online platform (subastasdecaza.com) through which the owners of the Regional Hunting Reserves in Castile and León offer their hunting permits for sale, and hunters from all over Spain and abroad bid on them in real time, from home, without intermediaries and without having to be there in person.
The problem it solves
Increased demand for and visibility of hunting permits issued by game reserves to any interested hunter, on an equal footing and at the price determined by the auction, generating more revenue and improving traceability for those who manage the resource, all within a transparent and verifiable process for bidders.
“Subastasde Caza demonstrates that a natural resource such as game can be marketed with the same transparency and reach as any digital marketplace, while improving the model with a more carefully designed user experience—another step forward in RetechFOR’s commitment to bringing digitalization to all forest, timber, and non-timber resources in Castile and León.”
What makes it innovative?
Optimizing the User Experience
A leap forward in usability and customization, with dedicated spaces for each owner and each bidder, a design intended to simplify lot management and bidding, and an architecture that connects this modernization with RetechFOR’s other digital developments.
Expected impact
Consolidation and expansion of what the current model has already demonstrated: more landowners willing to put their plots up for auction thanks to improved ease of use, more hunters participating due to an enhanced search and bidding experience, and, consequently, more revenue for the management and conservation of the Regional Hunting Reserves.
